This is the site where contents of, opinions about or new ideas related to the INASCON 09 are discussed.
For all our readers not knowing the INASCON:
The International NAnoscience Students CONference is a nanoscience conference, especially organised for and by students. On the 20-23rd of August 2009, the conference is being held for the third time and for the first time in switzerland (at the conference center „Campus Sursee“ near Lucerne).
The motto of this year’s conference is „Past,Present and Future of Nanoscience“ offering a broad scope for talks and discussions about different disciplines. During the last couple of months the organizing committee made a big effort to sign the speakers and acquire the required money for such an international conference.
Now, the schedule is set and can be found on www.inascon.eu .This conference is a great opportunity for nanoscience students from all over Europe to gain insight into research activities of other european universities, to exchange with students from other countries and to start networking.
So, if you are interested to read about what is going at this year’s INASCON, we are looking forward to welcome you on our blog and are hoping for fruitful discussions.
Dear Participant of the third International Nanoscience Student Conference,
A conference is a good conference if it creates an open atmosphere that stimulates inspiring talks and comprehensive exchange, as well as enthusiastic debates.
As a contribution to this objective, we would like to present to you INASCON’s interactive blog platform. On this site we will post comments and initiate discussions during the conference and beyond.
We would like to encourage you to:
– discuss your opinion on talks, the conference, the scientific community.
– share scientific or social experiences.
This blog is not meant to substitute the regular discourse following each speech. On the contrary, have you never found it difficult to have your urgent question ready on time? Or, you were not really sure if your question was relevant?
Sciencesofa.info gives you the opportunity to share such ideas and participate in a lively dialogue.
We wish you an interesting and inspiring INASCON 2009 !!
Your blog-team

So how does this blog work now. If I type this message in the box below, where will it appear?
Is there a order regarding the talks?
Are there topics like talks and organization?
I guess I just try it and we will see ;-)
Thanx Dominik for playing the guinea pig!!
Regarding your further questions: we are not explicitly tracing the talk order.
Instead we take our freedom to post articles where we find a debatable or otherwise remarkable issue.
Obviously, in doing so, we are also inspired by the talks.
So our posts might still reflect the order of the presentations.
If anyone out there wants to introduce a new topic, just post it as a commentary to any record in the INASCON section.
For technical reasons it is not possible for you to initiate a new article yourself.
However, since this is a moderated blog, we will in due course extend your comment to a new article.
Regards
Sonja Schmid
